Stars and Seeds Flow Fund is a New Mexico-based participatory grantmaking program for women reconnecting spirit, community, and the Earth. Kindle Project and Kalliopeia Foundation co-created the fund to support women who are responding to the needs of the land, water, and the more-than-human community of New Mexico.

While big projects, new technologies, and innovative ideas gain lots of attention in environmental grantmaking, Stars and Seeds focuses on geographically relevant, land-based projects with big impact. Whether cleaning up uranium waste on sacred lands, restoring women’s ceremonies, or training young women farmers in regenerative agriculture, our grantees are planting the seeds of a future informed by tradition, wisdom, and love for the Earth.

Stars and Seeds is guided by a circle of women, living in New Mexico, who are decision-makers over grantmaking dollars. Their unique perspectives and generational knowledge of place form the heart of this program.
