Reyna Banteah

Reyna is a proud member of the Pueblo of Zuni and founder of a Zuni-named agriculture business inspired by the hummingbird. Since launching her business in 2018, she has been dedicated to regenerative farming practices that honor her Pueblo heritage. Based in Albuquerque, Reyna focuses on sustainable growing, seed saving of Southwest-adapted varieties, and increasing access to healthy, culturally relevant foods for local communities. She is committed to empowering BIPOC communities to build self-sustaining food systems, and envisions a future with more young Indigenous farmers and change-makers. Since 2022, Reyna has served on the agricultural committee for the Zuni Youth Enrichment Project’s Food Sovereignty Team, to help cultivate the next generation of growers and cultural knowledgekeepers.
