A mother of two from Chamisal, Donne grew up tending summer gardens and caring for small livestock with her family, and those experiences rooted her in a strong sense of querencia for gardening, community, and traditional practices.

I am still learning what it means to be a mujer, and how to adjust my crown so that I may hold my fruit and fortitude HIGH. I am still learning what it means to truly be willing to love to learn. This path humbles me. It excites me, it scares me, and I hold this life and this work with deep compassion, because being with the Earth is intimate and intense. It is hot and cold, tender and unforgiving. It reminds me how animal we really are.

I am passionate about growing food in a way that sustains life. I'm feeding my children, my family, and my community. I am learning to listen more closely to what is calling me: The medicine that grows in abundance just waiting to be shared, the work, my purpose. The land speaks, and I am practicing how to hear it. Sometimes it's the birds whispering songs of safety, others it's the wind talking to the grass hinting that rain is on the way.
To me, regenerative agriculture is not just a method. It is ancestral wisdom. It is a deep relationship with our food, seeds, thoughts, and surroundings. It lives in my body, in my choices, in my care. It is how I love the Earth, and how I prepare something better for those who I can only imagine and pray about. Not just the next few years, but the next generations may it be 5, 10, 20 and more <3! May they be stronger and wiser than I have ever been!
I am a seed still becoming, GROWING, rooting deeper, reaching wider, learning when to rest, and when to rise and absolutely FUCK SHIT UP in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY!
