Kindle Project and Kalliopeia Foundation have come together to create Stars and Seeds to support women who are responding to the needs of the land, water, and the more-than-human community of New Mexico.

The fund includes a cohort of four women community-based decision-makers, aka Flow Funders, living in four different areas of New Mexico.

    • Identify, celebrate, and support women working through deep connection to New Mexico’s natural systems

    • Engage in reciprocal learning and relationship building to amplify the work of grantees and Flow Funders

    • Create a space for visionary and imaginary experiences

    • Support self determination within communities

    • Remind the Earth that She is loved and cared for

  • Kindle Project believes moving money should be done in community and not in isolation. Kindle assembles cohorts of community decision-makers for participatory grantmaking funds, a way to practice power sharing in philanthropy. The intention for the cohorts is to create a community of learning and practice to educate, share wisdom, and provide a space to unpack the nuances of grantmaking in a shared environment.

  • Kindle Project works with donors and grantees who are catalyzing change—those who are addressing our most pressing problems but who would otherwise fall outside-the-box of traditional philanthropy. We bring capacity and experience to donors to more creatively and effectively utilize their resources for positive change. You can read more about our programs here.

Kalliopeia Foundation’s mission is to reconnect ecology, culture, and spirituality. We engage this work through a multi-media magazine (Emergence Magazine), educational resources (Global Oneness Project), and a grantmaking program. Kalliopeia’s grants are dedicated to US - based leaders and programs.
